Both the point of contact (POC) and end users will receive an email from SkyKick to provide their current email address and password, and to download the SkyKick Outlook Assistant.
NOTE: The download and installation of SKOA is only needed for those who use Outlook on PC.
Resending the Password Reception Page
If a user reports that they did not receive the Password Reception mail:
- Ask them to check the Spam or Junk folder.
- If the email was not received, resend it manually from the migration project in progress in the Migration Dashboard:
- Click the Syncs tab.
- Select the check box next to a user (or the check box in the header column to select all users),
- Click the Actions button.
- Select the Resend Password Reception Email option. This will open a dialog box asking you if you want to resend the source or destination reception, both boxes can be selected to send both. Select both boxes.
- If the email was still not received, you can have the user provide the Source Password directly in Skykick (through a ScreenConnect session) from the migration project in progress in the Migration Dashboard:
- Click the Syncs tab
- Select the check box next to a user.
- Click the Actions button.
- Select Provide Source Password and Provide Destination Password.
- Click the Test Source Credentials button.
Filling out the Password Reception Page and Downloading SkyKick Outlook Assistant (SKOA)
Here are the steps the POC and the end users will follow:
- From the email, click on the Takes a minute. It’s safe an easy. link.
- Check the box to agree to Skykick Terms and Conditions.
- The user’s First Name and Last Name should already be populated. If not, enter it and click the Next button.
- Enter the user’s password and click the Next button. If the user enters the wrong password, a message will display that the credentials are not valid.
- Enter the user’s password for the M365 account.
- Optionally, the user can enter their title, which will get updated in their destination user profile. Click the Next button.
- The Skykick Outlook Assistant will get downloaded automatically.
- Once the user has provided the information, you can see the status updated in the Migration Dashboard with a green checkmark under the Source and O365 columns.
- If for some reason, the user skips downloading and installing the Skykick Outlook Assistant but actually needs it, you can send them the link again by clicking on their name under the Source Mailbox column and sending the user the Password Reception link.
